Course Description

Let’s take a walk through the ins and outs of Texas Home Owners Associations (HOAs), from their inception back in the 1960s to their rapid growth, not only in Texas, but all over the entire nation.

We will talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly – focusing specifically on Texas Property Codes 202, 204, and 209. The main goal is to empower you with additional knowledge and where to find the actual statutes.

In addition, we will have an in-depth discussion of reforms to HOAs passed in the 87th Texas Legislative session, contract pitfalls to avoid for both buyers and sellers, and include ways to benefit your clients no matter which side of the transaction you are on.
